Workforce Health Assessors (WHA) continues to expand in 2019, with more and more facilities popping up all over Australia in order to make it easier for businesses to access our pre-employment and ongoing health assessment services. Our most recent exciting announcement is a new facility in sunny Noosa, QLD.

Offering the full range of workforce medical services, our Noosa facility is here to help businesses big and small on the Sunshine Coast recruit future-ready workforces—which will in turn help to reduce WorkCover claims, insurance premiums and recruitment costs, and ultimately help employers provide a safer working environment for their employees.

WHA Noosa owner, Isaac McCrimmon, is excited to be onboard WHA and to begin conducting more pre-employment medicals at his new facility. He has an extensive history in the healthcare industry, previously working as an Exercise Physiologist in several private practices across Tasmania (his home town), Melbourne, and on the Sunshine Coast.

Isaac’s first experience working in the healthcare industry, which was at an Exercise Physiology Clinic in Albert Park, Melbourne, is where his passion for helping others achieve a better quality of life—as well as working in the health and wellbeing space—began. During this time, he worked closely with private clients, DVA veterans and a variety of individuals suffering with complex and/or chronic muscoskeletal conditions.

His previous experience in the healthcare field and his passion for improving the lives of others is what ultimately led Isaac to WHA. He was drawn to WHA’s strong vision for the future and core values—preventing workplace risk and optimising business productivity, but also improving the lives of everyday Australian workers.

At WHA, we are committed to training a talented pool of health professionals to become accredited WHA assessors. This, in turn, provides more flexibility for all our partner opportunities, clients and possible locations over Australia and New Zealand.

Moving from the private healthcare space to occupational health services, Isaac enjoys how conducting workforce health assessments allows him to “create an environment that enhances self-awareness and wellbeing for the candidate… I think this is really important because it allows them (candidates) the opportunity make more positive decisions going forward across all aspects of their life.”

“On the other side of the coin, it allows the employer to work towards a more safe, healthy and productive workplace based on our assessment and our communication back to the employer.”

Behind the businesses…

We get to know the people behind our centres a little bit more…

How long have you lived in Noosa? I recently re-located to Noosa at the beginning of 2018. Before this, I lived in Melbourne for 7 years where I completed my studies to be an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. However, I grew up in Tasmania, which will always be home.

What is your favourite past time? Playing Aussie Rules Football, fishing back home on the east coast of Tasmania, and spending time with friends and family.

If you had a guest visit Brisbane where would you take them? La Vida – which is an Italian restaurant on Hastings street. I also enjoy taking friends for a jog up the national park and inviting them to come watch a local football match at Noosa’s home ground.
